| Hi, I have to read a text file from a SP. I have never done this so what would be the best way of doing this.I am aware that dts would be ideal for this but i cannot touch a production dts package. I was also thinking that i can call the another dts package immediately after the production one and therefore i will not interfer with he main load DTS package. What you think. |

| Thanks for the reply Madhivanan. Through my ignorance i fail to see how sp_addserver will help me read a text file from an SP. Am i missing some thing. |
