| I'm having a wierd problem, I cannot launch query analyser on a system running destop engine version of sql server. I'm able to launch Enterprise manager and browse the tables, but I cant start Query Analyser from Enterprise Manager or from command line..I get the error ... "The Operating system denied access to the specified file"I'm a local admin on the machine, I checked the file permissions for the file, I can't event launch profiler either...same messagePlease help guys |

| what service pack are you running? you can try re-installing the SP to see if that fixes the problem with the client tools. KEep in mind that the service pack with the client tools update is the full sql server service pack, not the MSDE specific service pack.-ec |
