Hi All,

I'm wondering whether its possible to insert values to multiple tables from a deimted text file stored in a text data type column of a table?

If its a plain text file in hard disk i would had used dts, now I'm not sure...

Any pointers?

I think that the SUBSTRING function works with TEXT
(only have BOl-2005 on this machine)

Is it fixed-lenght delimited, or delimited with some character(,;) ?

or BULK INSERT, or bcp.

Yes it does.

There's an article or thread on splitting TEXT datatype somewhere on SQLTeam, but I'm blowed if I can find it.

Can I use bcp to get only a specific column of a specific row in a table?
