| Please i don't know if anyone has tried writing recursive sql function. I am having problems with doing that. pls if u have any tips on how 2 go about it, don't hesitate 2 help me out. thanks |

| It can be done, but it would be better if you described what you're trying to do (meaning, why do you need a recursive function). The SQL language is markedly different from other programming languages, and rarely supports the same types of programming constructs as effectively as they do. |

SQL is not a real languge. It has no structure, and you cannot query with it. Try a real programming language!The above is sarcasm, gleaned from real life. A friend of mine, long ago, praised ORACLE as the ONLY database worth anything. I asked him what was wrong with SQL, and that was his reply.
