| i download spk4 for sql server when i want install service patch4 for microsoft sqlserver 2000 desktop engine (msde 2000)this error appearedthe instance name specified is invalid |

could it be something as simple as your trying to install sp4 for sql server to MSDE instead of sp4 for MSDE?Go with the flow & have fun! Else fight the flow  |
