Can you tell me how many types of cursors are there in SQL server 2k. What are they?

Give me an example for each of them? When they will be used.

You can find the types in Books Online under "DECLARE CURSOR", and the best thing you can do in SQL Server is to never use any of them. Use set-based operations and avoid cursors entirely.

What are you talking about Rob? Cursors are VERY useful for those who do not know T-SQL.
