| Kelvin writes "Hi,First of all, I would like to thank you for this wonderful site. Your site is definitely helping thousands(millions?) of developers everyday. Keep up the good work! I am one of the developers from OZtion. I am currently seeking a way to increase the performance when our users browse through item listings. We use other auction site (ebay) as our benchmark. How could they return 600,000 items in a matter of seconds? I believe that they only return part of the result (probably first page only) despite the fact that there may be another 599,950 items available. So is there anyway that we can run a query and only return part of the result but at the same time, we can keep track of all records returned. Is there anything like Select Top 50 to 100 items ?......... Any opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Kelvin" |
