HI. In SQL 7.0, the Enterprise Manager allowed you to do a "Truncate Logfile" task. WE have migrated to SQL2000. The user interface is dramatically different and I no longer find that feature in the new Enterprise Manager. Is there a way to do this thru a system stored procedure or Transact-SQL statement in Query Analyzer?

Thanks!

Debbie

BACKUP LOG DBNameGoesHere WITH NO_LOG

Do you need this feature because you ran out of disk space? Or is your recovery model set to FULL and you aren't performing tlog backups?

Make sure to run a full backup after you run the command as always.
