I use the IP address of my MSDE server and it works great as long as I am on WAN, i.e., over the internet. The same code cannot find MSDE if it is installed on a LAN, i.e., without internet access. I connect two machines and I can see everything on both machines but I canno connect to the MSDE. The local IP address is in the 192.xxx.x.xxx range. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
