| ok guys, i am looking for distinct profileemails and hours based on if a task is equal to a certain number. at the same time i would like the sum of the hours for each distinct profileemail i find. ie:select distinct profileemail, hours, sum(convert(decimal(10,4), hours)) from projecttime where task = '141' group by profileemail, hoursthis returns all profileemails, hours, and "tries" to sum the hours...but ofcourse it doesnt work. can anyone help me out here? thanks in advance. |
