| hello all,just wondering the hard and fast rule on log file size?should it be the same as database size?half datbase size?twice database sizeis there a rule of thumb? |

| They say 25% of the data file. But mine are usually bigger than the data file in production due to DBCC DBREINDEX and FULL recovery model. I start out at 25% and let it grow from there.Tara |

| Depends on the system.If it's oltp then you would expect the log file to be very small.For batch processing it can be very large.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
