Kaushik R writes "I have a query that returns 500 records. The result has to be displayed in an ASP page. Taking performance into consideration, I want to display just 20 records in each page. Is there any method by which I can do this. I want the solution to be database centric."

Use the TOP syntax: SELECT TOP 20 col1, col2 FROM mytable... If you do this in a stored procedure that takes a parameter of last row delivered, you can do paging in the sp.
