Microsoft has released the December Community Technology Preview (CTP) to BetaPlace and MSDN. If you have an MSDN subscription you can download it there. They are also releasing the December CTP of SQL Server Express. It's available at www.microsoft.com/downloads/. You can also download the Express Manager - a free tool to manage SQL Server Express. Just a heads up: The version that was first posted on MSDN was NOT the December CTP but the October one. If you already have the October CTP you should check file sizes before downloading. It was fixed sometime on 12/3, but it you downloaded it before 3:00 pm EST you might have the October version. Also, if you are using any version of the Visual Studio 2005 software (beta, CTP, etc.) it is NOT compatible with this new SQL Server CTP. Only use the SQL Express version that came with your copy of VS2005.UPDATE: Crap, it looks like MSDN is STILL the October CTP, even though it is labeled as December. As before, if you have the October one, check the file sizes before you download. |
