You can use the SQL Compare product for this. I have used it for just this purpose and it seems to work very well.Alternatively, it can't be very hard to build a small app to do this yourself.

There are already scripts written for this. Here are a couple good resources:http://www.nigelrivett.net/http://www.sqlservercentral.comLook at the bcp in/out scripts and the DMO scripts to get what you need. Alternatively, you could buy a tool like SQL Compare.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA.

I asked Nigel, (that's nr here) the same question ages ago and he said that he was more bothered about the contents of his website.. which is fair enough I suppose but..A good design makes the site more interesting... if only the SQL Server gosus spent more time learning some fancy software like Dream Weaver or even a simpler version like Jasc's Namo Web Editor (think they've sold it off now)...My 3-4 cents on this ------------->>> BREAKING NEWS!!! <<<------------- Saddam Hussien has weapons of mass destrcution |

Belive me, it's not DreamWeaver or Flash or Namo that create the cool websites just like it's not Query Analyzer that makes the ingenious sql-scripts. It's the guy that spends his life in front of the computer, and alot of people don't see this with cool looking websites. You gotta be a creative soul to pull off stuff like that and it's just something you gotta live with if you can't do it. Some people tend to use the left side of the brain others tend to use the right. --> http://www.2advanced.com--Lumbago"Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write it should be hard to understand"

I work with creative people that do the design stuff for the web sites that we build. I have absolutely no comprehension of how they know what looks right, but I do know that what they do looks great, and what I do looks [insert derogatory adjective of your choice]!Kristen
