| you can't encrypt just one row. this is what you can encrypt:- Passwords- Definitions of stored procedures, views, triggers, user-defined functions, defaults, and rules- Data sent between the server and the clientyou can't encrypt data in tablesGo with the flow & have fun! Else fight the flow :) |

Making an MD5-hash is considerd to be very strong, however you have to be aware that it is only one way. It will generate a 32-character long unique "checksum"-value that you can store in the database and when you want to compare something just do the encryption first on whatever you want to compare. It's pretty straight forward... |
