Hello,

My co worker is having a problem connecting to an Oracle DB through an ASP.NET application. He's installed the Oracle 9i client on his machine, but ASP.NET insists that it's NOT installed (via a runtime error).

He's gone through the trouble shooting on MSDN, but nothing's working.
He made sure the Oracle OLEDB/ODBC drivers were installed.

Thanks for any help that you may provide,
ELmO

Also check the Oracle Client (Net Service Names) and ensure that he can connect from there.

TNSPING can also be your friend in troubleshooting connectivity issues.
