| I'm sure you could do it with xp_cmdshell, but that would be highly not recommended. Why do you want to do this? What is the business reason?Keep in mind:"xp_cmdshell operates synchronously. Control is not returned until the command shell command completes."Tara |

| It is possible to perform using xp_cmdshell. Though, performing this kind of activity can quickly become a bad design choice...Can you elaborate on your intent. What type of application are you considering launching from a trigger? |
