In EM I see a hand beside an icon for one of my DB running an application. It would seem like the icon used for shared folders except it is the dbatabase cylinderical icon. Please tell me what this means and how may I remove or add it to other databases if needs be.

All help appreciated.

It means that the database is setup for replication. If you have a publication, you will need to delete it. Then go right click on your server in EM, go to properties, then to replication tab. Then click on configure, then go to publication databases, unselect the database and hit ok.
