John writes "I need a way to read a Stored Procedure into a VB6 program.
I have no problem parsing it out once I have it, nor do I have a problem deleting it and writing out a new verion. I need to update some pieces of code in several stored procedures depending upon input variables.

sp_helptext [stored procedure or view name]

That's what you need. I hope you know what you are doing, though.
