| sumit writes "when i retrieve data (SQL SERVER 2000), it displays Message "IO Error" but it allows me to save the data.i reboot and reinstall the server but it doesnt work. When i take backup it allows me but at the time of restoring it again shows the same message. please help me to come out of this." |

| Need more info:What technique/technology are you using to "retreive data"? Is there ANY more information in the error message other than "IO Error"? Why did you try reinstalling the server? Was this a brand-new installation? Has it ever worked?
