Turky writes "I want my email list subscribers to be able to cancel, hold or continue their subscription by sending an email message to me with "remove" or "hold"' or "continue" subject.
The subscribers' details are stored in SQL table.
After email message is arrived, I want SQL server to read the subject and update "status" field of the sender record."

On the SQLTEAM "home page" lookup email.

There's a good article on building a mail queue system.

Turky isn't asking about sending mail.
The SQL part here is the easy bit, where it gets tricky is receiving and parsing the email.
The quickest solution might be to get a mail server like www.mailenable.com or www.xmailserver.org which will let you fire a script or program on receipt of a mail.

The full answer to this is WAAAAAY beyond the scope of SQLTeam. The SQL bit is a simple update statement.
