Do you want to use replace in the SELECT clause or the WHERE clause? Are you getting any errors? Here's an example from the Northwind database:

SELECT ProductName, newProductName = replace(ProductName,'ö','á')
FROM Products
WHERE ProductName like '%Lakka%'
