| remix writes "Hi SQL Team,I use sql2000 at work and use xp_sendmail, and sp_makewebtask quite often.I just hung my personal website at a webhost that offered sql server as an add on. I went to use xp_sendmail, in some of my own stored procs, and in "jobs" in sql server agent. However...... they can't execute since the extended stored procs are in the 'master' db, and I don't have user rights in the webhost's master db.How can I get around this problem ? Thanksremix." |

| The only way is to ask the webhost people to give you the correct permissions. And hope that they have SQLMail set up on their server. |

I doubt they have it set up, but you would need to confirm with your host. quote: or could he also copy the stored proc from his sql machine to the new one in his db?
These are extended stored procs, so they are found in sqlmap70.dll. It's not as easy as just recreating some T-SQL.-Chadhttp://www.clrsoft.comSoftware built for the Common Language Runtime. |
