You should store images in the file system, not SQL.

As the previous reply indicates...this isn't always the "best practice"...however, if you search the Microsoft site (knowledge base or msdn) there are some "How To" articles that describe how to store an image in Sql server and retrieve it with ADO or ADO.Net. Try searching on BLOB and Sql Server.
