for backup and restore at this moment i'am using this structure

1) BACKUP DATABASE TEST_1 TO TEST_BACKUP
2) DROP DATABASE TEST_1
3) RESTORE DATABASE TEST_1 FROM TEST_BACKUP

You can use Enterprise Manager to Generate SQL Scripts for all (or selected) objects in the tables. It will generate the SQL commands to create all of those objects, and you can simply run the SQL script whenever you need to recreate the database.

Books Online will give you more details if you look under "BACKUP" and its related links, but yes, users can continue to perform regular operations during a backup, but not a restore. All UPDATE, DELETE, and normal INSERT operations are logged in the transaction log. Bulk insert operations may or may not be logged as well, but they will still be stored in the database regardless.

There is already a handly program that comes with SQL Server that you can schedule to generate scripts - it's called scptxfr.exe and is found in the upgradre folder. Pass it the /? switch for syntax. As to db/log backups - log backups are consistent to the point the log backup STARTS, db backups are consistent to the point the db backup FINISHES. During a restore operation the database is not accessible until both REDO and UNDO operations have finished.

Awesome, J

An article with examples would be good for the masses.
It's unlikely that if you don't read this post it will ever be seen again and the same question will asked over and over.

It would be nice if it include all the secret .exe's

I just tryind dbcheck with DUMPSCHEMA and it looks like it ran but my output file was blank. It would be nice to have some examples of what these exe's do.

Thanks
