Is there anyway to make a call to a DB2 database from inside a Stored Proc on SQL2000?

Do a search on Linked servers and/ or OpenQuery(). I think one of those will help you.

Yeah, but thats the easy part...establishing the connection is that hard part. I've been trying to hit it directly without a gateway, but the gateway seems to be the prefered method. Even our Tech shops isn't a fan of doing this.

Hmmm. I thought that establishing a linked server and using the openquery seemed to easy.

I'll post next questions in the other thread as it has more history.
