Straztvui (bad transliteration, sorry),
If you use Visual Studio for programming then you've used Intellisense. It's when you are writing your code and somewhere along the way you get a drop down menu of your options. So for SQL it could work something like this.. In a table (MyTable) you have columns (ID, Desc, Image). When you start typing your SELECT statement.... you type... "SELECT MyTable." and after you type the period, a drop down list appears with "ID, Desc, Image" and you select the one you want. You'd also have full access to T-SQL functions and parameters as you type.

There was some discussion of that capability once Yukon is released since it will be fully .Net aware.

Of course you can always query INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS if you need the column names for a table, or refer to the E-R diagram.

yeah, writing SQL and SPs in Visual Studio.net is very easy and the SQL Server 2000 Query Analyzer is also very easy. I'm just all for making RAD a little bit RADer..ish...able..erm... yeah.

note to self, stop trying to coin phrases

Would somebody mind changing Damian's title to Visual Studio curmudgeon?
