| hi gurus... its been long time away. i have a small doutif i dial to a pc and maintain a connection can i register the local sql server running on the other pc.. i am trying to develop a program using vb which will dail to other pc and access the server.. is it workble...? if any one has a bit of code that will be gr8======================================Ask to your self before u ask someone |

| Your requirements don't make any senseWhat do you mean "register the server" ? Are you trying to use Enterprise Manager ?If you can dial into a server using RAS then you have a network connection with it so yes, you can communicate with the server.Damian |
