I have modified an XMLA file describing a Tabular model and everything is fine apart from a custom Role I created. It shows up in SSMS but when I try to look at the properties of the role, I get an error "Cannot show requested dialog - Key cannot be null." If I delete this role, create one manually in SSMS with exactly the same name and membership etc. (verified by exporting the XMLA and comparing with the one I imported - they are identical with respect to roles and role permissions), then it is fine.Has anyone seen this? Essentially it seems like creating the role in the XMLA and then running the XMLA creates a broken role. |
