Hi,

I need to move our SQL server 2005 on windows 2003 to a new windows 2008 server. Could someone show me what should I do?

Thank you.

The databases can be restored to the new target; that's the easy part. The server level configuration takes more doing. Some of these items might not be applicable in your environment and there are probably others that I am not considering but here is a list to work against:

sp_Configure items - You may need to turn on 'show advanced options' to get a full list of these; Adjust your min/max memory settings as needed
