I have the trial edition of SQL Server Enterprise 2012 on my PC and I would like to "upgrade" to the Developer Edition which I am licenced for however we don't have a licence key for the developer edition, just a download.Does anyone know if I need to reinstall or can I upgrade my existing instance?Thankssteve-----------Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. |

I've discovered that it can be upgraded. The ISO for the developer edition has the licence key built in, so if you just run the edition upgrade it all goes very smoothly. I now have a shiny upgraded version running. For anyone who may be interested further information can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143393.aspxSteve-----------Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. |
