Jason writes "Alright, alright - I know that this isn't a SQL specific question, but I'm running out of places to look for answers. So, here it goes.
Our company is using MS Index Server as a search tool for our web sites. However one of the sites we're using is dynamically building pages using ASP. When the user clicks on a product or some specific information about a product, it's pulling the appropriate content from a SQL 7 database. What we're wanting to know is if a SQL 7 database can be indexed using MS Index Server, and if so how it's accomplished.
Any bit of light you can shed on this subject should be beneficial.
Thanks in advance, Jason Taucher
P.S. - Yes, we could just build a search entirely from ASP and skip Index Server altogether, but the Index Server code is already there, and you know how lazy we programmers are when it comes to code that's already been written. :)" |
