Now I have rasied the question to myself, what about the other node. A bit late but I have found that MDS is supported in a clustered environment and I could follow this MS doc to install it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2683467 The guide tells me how to install MDS in a cluster when I dont have CU1 (which I think is version 11.00.2316 http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.co.nz/). My issue is that I think I already have a later version of SQL (seen above) so why would I go through this setup of CU1. There doesnt seem to be much documentation around on how to setup MDS in a cluster. Cheers Brendan New SQL DBA
