Hi Folks,
In case there are lot of nullable columns in a table, does it degrade performance. Is there a acceptable number of nullable columns.

Env: Windows 2000,SQL Server 2000.

Thank you

It won't necessarily degrade performance, but a lot of nullable columns usually indicates a less-than-optimal table design. Having nullable columns does incur some extra processing overhead, but it's pretty minor.

You'll have to post your exact table structures before we can render any other suggestions.
