Joanne writes "Can I use trigger to check for the referential integrity? I've tried but the system message always pop up and not my trigger message. May I know how to do this?"

SQL Server uses after-triggers, meaning, the trigger fires after the completion of the dml. If your DML violates some FK constraint, your trigger will never fire. If you are on SQL 2K, you can look at INSTEAD OF triggers. Otherwise, you need to manage referential integrity in your DML.
