Nilesh writes "We are running a site, which makes use of MS SQL Server 2000 as the back end. We have huge database structure. From last few days we are facing problem of performance downgrade. If only one person is accessing site, the SQL Server usage goes to about 70 to 80 % and in turn the CPU usage also goes up. Also the site is very slow. We have extensive search facility in the site. For most of the functionality we are making use of Stored Procedures. We are using ADO.NET for accessing the SQL Server 2000 from front end. Can I get some tips for the possible reason the of the problem problem?"

1. Use Profiler to identify your slowest running queries.

2. Post the slowest query and the table structures it uses and we'll take a look.
