AFAIK the data isnt truncated but the whole row is rejected .

check the len of the row you are trying to add.

if len(ltrim(rtrim(@col1))+ltrim(rtrim(@col2))+ltrim(rtrim(@col13)+ltrim(rtrim(@col4))+ltrim(rtrim(@col5))) > 8060
print 'Error'
