hi

when we have a dulpicate record.. oracle has a facility of dlete the one record... rowid
in sql do we have a equal....

i have sql 2000

you can add a identity field , delete the duplicate records and drop the field.

Use Oracle.

What's wrong with the method described in the article? You want to delete duplicates, that what it does.

or go to EM and delete reach duplicate row , yeah it will take some extra effort and time. but then you want another way rite

when i have a duplicate row em will not delete the row...
and i have many ok... let me try that i thought there should be some equalent to rowid... thanks for info
