Charlotte writes "I like to get the position of a specific letter in a string. In ORACLE there is INSTR, but what is the solution in SQLServer?

I´m trying to remove the first word from a string and therefore need the position of the first char(32). “AUIDI A6 1,6” --> “A6 1,6”

Thanks in advance
Charlotte"

CHARINDEX is what you are looking for:
declare @a varchar(25)
set @A = 'AUIDI A6 1,6'
SELECT SUBSTRING(@A,CHARINDEX(' ',@A)+1,LEN(@A))
