I have SQL Native Client installed as my ODBC driver and I cannot see SSIS in BIDS.I have changed from Locan System to NT AUTHORITY\Local in the Services but I still cannot see SSIS.Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions for me to try next? |

I have reinstalled BIDS and SQL Server I now get the following error message:an error has ocurred while trying to establish a connection to the server. When connecting to the SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default Settings SQL server does not allow remote connections. (provider" Named Pipes provider, error 40: - Could not open a connection to SQL Server (Micrsoft SQL Server error no:2).What do I need to do next? Has anyone else out there seen this message and what did you do to correct it? |

Should I change it to this: <connectionStrings> <remove name="TOSHIBA-USER\SQLEXPRESS"/> <add name="TOSHIBA-USER\SQLEXPRESS" "System.Data.SqlClient/> </connectionStrings> |

You need to take a step back and realize you aren't being clear. We have no idea what you are trying to solve as the thread has gone a couple of different ways already.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Subscribe to my blog |
