| chris writes "ok i'm importing an access database into a new SQL database.... there are 38 tables with 7,000,000+ records in each table. 37 of the tables worked fine, but SQL Server 2000 pro crapped out when it tried to import a date like 1/1/1845 . Any idea what would be causing this?Chris HendrixPS: Please email me direct if you can" |

| Hi Chris, what was the datatype of the date column?? The datetime type should be able to handle all dates from 1/1/1753. If you're using smalldatetime I suggest you switch to datetime. If not, I don't know what's causing the problem. |
