Hi,
I was just going through few optimisation sites n i found this

Instead of using temporary stored procedures, you may want to consider using the SP_EXECUTESQL stored procedure instead. It provides the same benefits on temporary stored procedures, but it does not store data in the systems tables, avoiding the contention problems.

Can any one tell me what a temporary stored procedures is
thank you
Sam

It is just like any other temp object.
Sort of defeats the benefits of stored procedures though

create proc #up_tempproc
as
set nocount on
select 1
GO

exec #up_tempproc
drop proc #up_tempproc
GO

There is info in BOL under Temporary Stored Procedures
