Hi There,

I am trying to install MSDE 2000 on Windows NT 4.0 & Service pack 6, but some reason I could not able to install the MSDE 2000.

Installation steps.
1. 99 % installed succesfully, after that it auto-matically uninstalls the MSDE 2000 desktop version.

If you have any idea, Just let meknow ASAP.

Thanks,
Mano

Have you checked the setup log to see what the error is?

The log that you have put in your post appears to be for MDAC and not MSDE.

Maybe you can goto http://www.microsoft.com/data and get a version of MDAC 2.7 that runs on NT4 SP6, install that, then install MSDE?

That MIGHT work....

Finally problem is solved,

These are steps are followed.
1. Un-installed MSDE 7.0.
2. Cleared all the regiestry entries.
3. Uninstalled SP 6a on Windows NT 4.0
4. Installed Service Pack 6a again.
5. Then Installed MSDE 2000.
6. Now I can work with MSDE 2000.
