Sir or Madam,
A really simple and stright forward question.

Say i have a SQL Server Login, and A Database Login (Not Win NT Logins, SQL Server Logins).
It helps me logon the the Server and the Database, through VB.
But the logins do not stop any one from copying the DB or generating the SQL script.
Is there any way i can stop users from accessing the Server without proper Logins, using any source, SQL Server itself, DMO or any other sa type login.

Manish here

you can goto Enterprise manager , click on security folder. you will get list of logins. double click your login, you will find Server roles and Database access.

Read about server roles. and give only those roles which you are in line with your security policy.

if you want to define security on object wise. double click on the object click on permissions button , you get the permissible logins on that db there. you can grant/revoke your permissions from there you can either allow or stop the user to select, insert , delete ,update and other stuff.
