hi orlInstalling MSDE from the Sql Server 2000 CD, I immediately get the following :The instance name specified is invalid.I have Windows 2000, Off 2000, MSDE 7.0 currently and EM and QA already installed.help--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |

well it was worth a try, but when I did D:\MSDE\setup.exe /upgrade sqlrunthe error returned was incorrect command line parametersThanks anyway--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |

yep - I think that was just a typo. I actually did upgradesp. I eventually got it going with setup.exe upgrade=1 upgradeuser=saand then I had to uninstall MSDE and re-install it...But NOW it works.Thanks for your help....--I hope that when I die someone will say of me "That guy sure owed me a lot of money" |
