How can I pass,number of column instead of its name in my SLELECT statement.Like this:

Select * from mytable WHERE COLUMNNUMBER5='something'

No. And what happens if the table is altered and a column is dropped, making the fifth column the fourth, or third?

And logically there is no such thing as "column order" in set theory. The set {1,2,3} is logically equal to the set {2,1,3} ...
