I installed the SQL Server 2000 and I got an error message. Microsoft Knowledge Base advised me to install SP 3. I downloaded it but as I started the SP 3 I got the following message:A strong SA password is required for security reasons. Please use SAPWD switch to supply the same. Refer to readme for more details. Setup will now exit. What can I do? Thanks. |

U need to change your SA password from Blank to something more strong (Not blank). This is one of the vulnerabilities that is patched up in Service Pack 3.There is a way to get around this problem but Microsoft strongly recommends to remove the BLANK SA password.Cheers,Samrat |
