Does anyone know if flash can interact (mainly retrieve information) with a SQL 2000 database?

There's a Macromedia Flash blueprint application here - http://www.macromedia.com/desdev/mx/blueprint/ that's worth taking a look at as well if you're into Flash MX, .NET or Java
