| Hello All,I'm trying to find a way to create a proper nesting structure in sql 2000. Here is the story:There are managers who was sales managers. Sales managers also have team leaders and team leaders have their sales persons. And these people sell products. Top management wants to see the performance of each individual, each team leader (which is the total or percentage of sales persons), each sales manager (which is the total of everyone working for them), and the overall organization (everyone). What should do ?Thank you for your helps,Mahmut |

| Sounds like you need a tree structure:http://www.sqlteam.com/SearchResults.asp?SearchTerms=treesTake a look at ALL of the articles, and make sure you read the links to Joe Celko's articles on nested sets (they're linked inside the top article) They may not be what you want, but it's a nifty idea that's worth considering. |
