| Hello, I have sql server 2000 running on WIN2000 Professional. I'm trying to install MSDE 2000 but it gives me the error "Instance name specified is invalid". Any suggestion? Thanks!! |

| If you already have SQL Server running you'll have to install MSDE with a different instance name. You do this by running setup.exe INSTANCENAME=theNameYouWant======Doug G====== |

MSDE installation error
